Context.
Since January 2025 I have worked as a goalkeeper scout at IGP Scouting. The coverage runs from Liga 3 to the Campeonato de Portugal and the 1st District Division, in competitive and training contexts. The process is always the same, and that is what makes it useful: observe, assess across the four dimensions, write the report, log it in the database. Goalkeepers seen months apart stay comparable.

The process.
Talent identification and scouting
I watch goalkeepers live and on video, in competitive and training contexts. The aim is to identify high-potential profiles that fit the model of play.
Performance analysis
I assess each goalkeeper's technical, tactical, physical and mental dimensions in detail, and I identify their strengths and the areas for improvement clearly.
Scouting reports
I write rigorous, objective reports, with recruitment recommendations that I deliver directly to the coaching staff and the sporting direction.
Database management
I built and maintain a structured database of the goalkeepers observed, tracking their development, performance metrics and report history.
